Lois Patton, Ed.D., of The Publishing Coach has worked in professional book publishing for more than twenty-five
years as a press director, editor-in-chief, acquiring editor, contracts, rights and production editor. She has coached
both published and new authors of fiction and non-fiction manuscripts in the shaping, developing, packaging, promoting and
marketing of their books to the national and international markets. Presented the first Distinguished Contribution Award
by the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing for outstanding contributions to educational publishing, books she has sponsored and
published gained recognition from professional and scholarly associations and have been highlighted and included in PUBLISHER'S
WEEKLY Review section. Dr. Patton has served on the education and training committee of the American Association of University
Presses, and negotiated the sale of foreign and subsidiary rights at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
